People seek beauty. They are constantly looking for ways to improve what they have or to
give themselves a whole new look. I've heard people say that they are not satisfied with their
appearance. They will comment that their hair is too fine, too tick, too curly, too straight or too
frizzy and have a myriad of other comments about their hands, face, feet and body shape or
size.
Jesus warned us that we are not to be concerned with the outward appearance first, but that
we are to first clean the inside of us and then the outside would be clean. As people we have
a tendency to clean the outside and neglect the inside. While our Heavenly Father wants us
to take care of our physical bodies, we should remember that Jesus said that our Heavenly
Father looks at our hearts. The Apostle Paul wrote that it was the hidden man of the heart
that needs to be renewed and cleansed.
The inward man is renewed day by day as we feed (read) upon the scriptures our inward man
becomes more and more like Him. As you feed upon scriptures such as Psalms 139:14, that
says you are fearfully and wonderfully made it helps you to become the wonderful You that
God created you to be. Your identity is who you are. When you feed upon the scriptures you
begin to see yourself like God sees you and then it puts your life into perspective.
Be the wonderful YOU that God made you to be.
